The Leas Beach park is a small site with just nine static caravans, a laundry room and outdoor climbing equipment with slide and swings for children. The caravans are fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Visit our Caravans page for more detailed descriptions and photos of the accommodation. Bacton has a café, gift shop, fish and chip shop, newsagent/grocery store, Chinese restaurant and well equipped park, all within a few minutes walk. The Poacher's Pocket pub and restaurant is just under a mile away along the sea front, the mini-resort of Mundesley with its amusement arcade, cafés, skateboard park and Adventure Island Crazy Course is about three miles away, and boat hire and tours are available on the Norfolk Broads only six miles away (visit our Area pages for more details).
If you fancy a quiet day why not spend your time pottering about on the beach, sunbathing, paddling, swimming, building sand castles, beach combing for fossils or beach fishing, popping back to your caravan now and then for refreshments. Visit our Beach page to see photos of the beach and fossils. If you are feeling a little more energetic, you could walk along the beach to the neighbouring blue flag beach resort of Mundesley or, in the other direction, to the seafront village of Walcott. There are also pleasant walks around Bacton Woods and to the local church via footpaths or quiet lanes.
There are also many attractions within a short drive of the site. There's the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth, Cromer and the cathedral city of Norwich and other attractions such as theme parks, the Norfolk Broads for walks and boat hire, sea boat trips for seal viewing or sea fishing, Sea Life Centres, National Trust properties, museums, steam railways and fun fairs. Visit our Area pages for lots of tourist information and more detailed descriptions of East Anglia and its attractions.
